Wolfvision VZ-C3D

Ceiling Visualizer - Stereoscopic

Ceiling Visualizer – Stereoscopic

The WolfVision VZ-C3D is the world’s first 3D Visualizer system, a sensational 3D stereoscopic ‘live’ presentation solution.

The VZ-C3D is ceiling mounted, and features two high precision lenses and an onboard stereoscopic mixer which enables ‘live’ high definition 3D images to be viewed in real-time on any 3D-enabled display screen.

The viewing of 3D stereoscopic images is highly valued in many professional applications where the extra visual information is extremely beneficial.

Specialist medical and telemedical applications, and also product design and engineering, science and education, videoconferencing and telepresence applications can all benefit from the new and exciting imaging possibilities created by the introduction of the WolfVision VZ-C3D Visualizer system.

Overview

Keep your Table Free

Compatible with All 3D Displays

Mounting a Visualizer on the ceiling keeps the speaker’s table or lectern free, so that nothing disturbs the view between the speaker and audience.

The VZ-C3D Visualizer is also designed to be ceiling mounted, because in order to deliver perfectly proportioned 3D realistic images, it is essential to have a greater distance between the camera and the recorded object than is possible with desktop Visualizers. For optimum realistic 3D viewing with the VZ-C3D Visualizer, the distance between the Visualizer and the working surface should be between 100cm and 220cm (39″ and 87″).

The VZ-C3D is compatible with all 3D displays, and provides outstanding picture quality, using either glasses or glasses-free models. The following HDMI 3D standard formats ensure compatibility with all current display screens:

  • Frame packing
  • Top and bottom
  • Side by side
  • Page flip
  • Line alternative
  • Right/left
  • Left/right

Zoom Range Calculation

15x Optical Zoom

The size of the smallest and largest picture the VZ-C3D can pick up is not fixed. Instead, it depends on how high above the table the unit is mounted. The tables show the ratio between mounting height and pick-up sizes. A large optical zoom range is one of the most important features of a Visualizer, because only an optical zoom can pick up objects in full resolution.

The VZ-C3D features two high precision wide angle camera lenses with 60x zoom (15x optical and 4x digital), and one zoom lens for the light source.

Synchronized Lightfield

High Definition Camera

WolfVision’s patented Synchronized Lightfield allows for very easy and intuitive positioning of objects. The illuminated part of the working surface is always identical to the pick-up area of the cameras, so a user always knows exactly where to place objects or documents. When zooming in or out, the size of this lightfield changes accordingly. The VZ-C3D Visualizer comes with two state-of-the-art CMOS cameras with native 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second in both 3D and 2D modes. WolfVision’s onboard stereoscopic mixer and advanced image processing engine ensures that perfect picture quality is produced, both in 3D and 2D formats.

High Depth of Focus

External Controlling

The VZ-C3D Visualizer provides a very high depth of focus. This is very important for working with larger 3-dimensional objects. LAN and infrared connections can be used to control the Visualizers from external devices, such as a room control system, a videoconferencing system or a computer.

Shadow Free

Bringing Reality Closer – The Benefits of 3D Imaging

As the cameras and the light projector are situated in parallel within the Visualizer and follow the same path, shadows are almost completely eliminated.

During a presentation, it is often necessary to write something on a document on the working surface or to point to a certain detail with a finger or a pencil. The Visualizers are perfectly suited for this, as there are practically no shadows covering up important details.

The VZ-C3D provides stunning 3D images that enhance any presentation, lecture, meeting or training session:

  • Educational and training materials are more realistic and engaging
  • Complex objects are more easily explained
  • In videoconferencing and telepresence applications, 3D imaging increases the immersive experience for participants
  • The additional visual depth information, and improved perception of surface curvature are of great benefit in critical medical, telemedical, product design and engineering applications
  • Corporate presentations and product launches are more impressive and impactful
